With elevated exterior finish highlights from the natural wood grain of swamp ash, achieved through the sandblasted method, and improved parts, the P6 continues to serve the distinct bass and classic jazz tones everyone loved about Sire's PJs but now in a lighter package.

SIRE LIGHTWEIGHT BASS BODY
A finely crafted lightweight body designed to reduce fatigue and enhance comfort, delivering exceptional playability for extended performance sessions.
SANDBLASTED P-STYLE SHAPED BODY
Featuring the 2025 color releases, all showcasing a stunning sandblasted finish. The classic Sire J-style bass body, crafted from Mahogany wood with a Solid Ash Top, is designed to elevate both the visual appeal and the fine-tuned sound of the instrument.
MARCUS SUPER-PJ REVOLUTION
A special combination of Marcus-signature humbucker and single coil pickups allowing precise expressions of both the clear bass and jazz bass tones.
P6 CONTROL LAYOUT
Turn toward Open to increase the volume.
Turn toward Close to decrease the volume.
When turned fully in the Close direction, the volume will be muted.
Turn toward Close for a darker tone.
Turn toward Open for a brighter tone.
The center position is the basic position. In this position, both the neck
and bridge pickups are used equally.
Turn toward Neck to increase the neck pickup signal.
Turn toward Bridge to increase the bridge pickup signal.
When turned fully toward Neck, only the neck pickup is used.
When turned fully toward Bridge, only the bridge pickup is use.
This knob controls the low-frequency range of the
instrument when the instrument is in Active mode.
Turn the knob toward Boost to increase low-end depth and fullness.
Turn the knob toward Cut to reduce low frequencies for a
tighter and lighter bass response.
Push the knob down to select Active mode.
Pull the knob up to select Passive mode.
This knob controls the high-frequency range of the instrument.
Turn the knob toward Boost to increase brightness, clarity, and attack.
Turn the knob toward Cut to reduce brightness for a
warmer and smoother tone.
This knob controls the mid-frequency range of the instrument.
Turn the knob toward Boost to increase midrange
presence and definition.
Turn the knob toward Cut to reduce midrange for a smoother
or more scooped tone.
For a balanced sound, set the Pickup Balancer in the
center position and keep the Bass, Middle, and Treble controls
near the middle position.
To emphasize a brighter and tighter tone, turn the Pickup
Balancer toward the Bridge pickup and increase the Treble slightly.
To emphasize a warmer and fuller tone, turn the Pickup Balancer
toward the Neck pickup and increase the Bass slightly.
Use Active mode when you want stronger tone-shaping control
through the onboard EQ.
Use Passive mode when you want a simpler and more natural sound.
For a clear and natural starting point, keep the Volume fully
open and adjust the Master Tone according to your preferred
brightness.
